T.A. Henn has been raising money in support of the lifesaving work of the West Midlands Air Ambulance for over 20 years thanks to your donation for the work carried out on your watches and jewellery in store. When you come to us for a watch bracelet adjustment, remove/add a link or for an adjustment on a jewellery item that can be done in store we will generally ask you if you would be so kind to make a donation to the Air Ambulance, regularly collected from our store on Princess Street. |

May 2011 - Mont Blanc AscentJohn Henn scaled Europe’s highest mountain, Mont Blanc (all 4810m of it) and raised £10,000 for the Royal Marsden Cancer Hospital having attempted in May 2010 to do so after over 12 hours of climbing but had to abandon due to complete exhaustion. John Henn and his climbing partner decided to try again the following year and they made it to the top of Mont Blanc, a very emotional moment for them both for a really worthwhile cause. John Henn won the Charitable Act of the Year award with his climbing partner at the 2011 Pride of Wolverhampton awards for their achievement. |

Five Alps for Simon is a fundraising event for the Motor Neurone Disease Association (MNDA) and in honour of our departed friend and fellow jeweller Simon Cupitt. From the 11th to the 14th of September 2014, T.A. Henn Company Director John Henn, Simon's son Olly Cupitt and five of his dad’s friends cycled up five of the principle Cols in the Alps to raise money for and promote the work of the MNDA. Over four consecutive days the team climbed the legendary cols of Télégraphe, Galibier, Croix de Fer, Alpe D’Huez and culminating with ‘The Beast of Provence’ Mont Ventoux, climbing over 7000 meters on bicycles! | |
Our brave riders included; Olly Cupitt (Son of our friend Simon and 15 years old), Paul Belham (Simon’s cycling partner), Dominic Senior and Matt Fox from The Wolverhampton Chiropractors Clinic, Nigel Foxall from Silvermachine in Wolverhampton, Robert Osborne, Wolverhampton lad now of Shrewsbury, and of course John Henn. The team have had some wonderful support from Key Sponsors Endless Jewelry, Pandora and more, along with generous help from Fred Williams Cycles and Signs Now Wolverhampton. |

There does seem to be some glimmer of hope on the horizon, as the John Radcliffe Hospital is pioneering research into this killer with some degree of illumination using gene sequencing. Ten years from now we may be drawing a line under this devastating disease, and you will know of the part you played in its defeat thanks for your generous contributions. There are still progresses to be made and if you wish to make a donation or read more about the Five Alps for Simon Challenge please visit and 'like' our facebook page www.facebook.com/FiveAlpsforSimon or visit www.justgiving.com/FiveAlpsForSimon. Thank you for your support and generosity. |
